What is Certification?

Certification is the establishment of a level of competence and an endorsement by the authorizing agency. Firemen, cosmetic surgeons, police academies, dentistry schools, business schools, government agencies and private industry all offer certifications.

In brain-based education, the Jensen Learning Certification has been the "Gold Standard" of quality for ten years. It is the toughest and most interdisciplinary program available. It is a rigorous, full-service training that helps you get very, very good at this emerging discipline.

NOTICE:
We are no longer accepting any new applicants for our traditional 3-year certification program. We have chosen to limit the quantity of those with the original Jensen Learning certification to maintain quality. All current applicants will graduate no later than January 2010.

NEW OPPORTUNITY:

Many have expressed interest in becoming highly skilled and seek a path similar to certification, but want something less time-consuming. We are now offering a new opportunity. This is a highly interactive, more intensive and newly-developed customized training program.

BRAIN-BASED ACADEMY:

This new program is known as "The Accelerated Brain-Based Academy." It is a rigorous program, requiring four separate training programs. You make take either one two of them together, but all four are required. You will have "graduated" from the Jensen Learning Brain-Based Academy. Your graduation does not mean you are certified; it means you have earned an "Endorsement by Jensen Learning."

Your courses can be taken in either mid-January or mid-June in the United States. There are no on-line courses. In our view, this content is best learned in person. To graduate, you must attend and participate in all 5 programs. The first programs begin February of 2010.

APPLICATION and ENDORSEMENT PROCESS

Once you have already taken "Teaching with the Brain in Mind" (6-days, the full-length program), you’ll have the background to learn quickly and move rapidly through the coursework. Please make sure you have taken it before you register for another of the four remaining Brain-Based Academy Programs.
You may take up to two programs sequentially, over two weeks. Most will take two years for this process, though it can be completed in one year.
When you have completed all five Academy programs, you will be awarded a "Brain-Based Endorsement" by Jensen Learning and will have graduated from the Jensen Learning Brain-Based Academy with a high level of skill and knowledge.
